No more hair spray
Hair spray is now officially OFF my shopping list!! I'm not doing without however, for hair spray is something i cant seem to do without, but i have found a way to make my own that seems to work great for me. It is also much better for the environment, and much, much cheaper then buying actual "hair spray". All it takes is a half cup water heated to boiling, then add 2 teaspoons sugar and stir until dissolved. Let it cool and empty into a spray bottle (I use one of those small travel sized pump ones) and there you go....hair spray!! You can add more or less sugar depending on the strength of hairspray you prefer. Now..... the reason i keep mine in a small travel spray bottle is because water does go sour over time and its the same with this. When i catch that hint of sourness i simply dump it out and refill it with the big batch i keep in my freezer, that way I'm not having to make a new batch so often. Cheap, Green, and Simple...my kind of wonderful!! :)
